▾ STATION BRIEFS ▾
Where a resident might begin.
Oh, you have been assigned a post, or you are thinking of one. Each of these is the orientation packet a resident might receive on arrival: who you will be, what you are likely to be good at, and a few phrases to borrow. They are starting points, not classes. Take one as written, change any part of it, or ignore them all and begin from nothing.
Using a Brief
- Skills. Each Brief's skills are the standard spread: three skills at 2 and three at 1, which costs exactly the 15 Tenure you start with. Set them differently if you like; it is your 15.
- Traits, Hindrances and the Gift are examples. You start with two open Traits beside your Station; each Brief offers three to choose from. Keep them, edit them, or replace them with your own. Your Station is a Trait too: the Brief's name is only a place to start.
- The Commendation comes later, at Grade II. Each Brief suggests one to aim for.
- In Foundry, Register With Gloss offers these Briefs when it asks for your role, and fills in your skills for you. Quick create takes a whole Brief at once (Station, two Traits, two Hindrances and skills, and its Gift if you're Touched). You can still change everything. See character creation for the rules underneath.
◆ NATIVE RULES, EXPERIMENTAL These Briefs are drafts for the Foundry system's rules. They may change.
